However, it's just one of the many ways that companies are utilizing Social Media for Recruitment.
Many of our clients have seen great success in developing Social Media Recruitment strategies to recruit for anything from C-Level positions which they find on LinkedIn to Nurses and Healthcare professionals that they find on Facebook.
LinkedIn is the #1 professional Social Networking site on the web and is quickly becoming the primary tool for job searching, hiring and networking. Companies quickly learn that LinkedIn provides a great quality of client, puts organizations in touch with the passive candidate and provides a tremendous ROI.
Facebook has a high traffic from users and is a great place to find the passive networker and works very much like an Employee Referral Program on steroids since the average user has approximately 130 friends.
Twitter is also an excellent resource for recruitment as it provides a quick approach to posting and responding for recruitment.
I could go on and on and on but I have to get back to work....
However, the other important aspect of Social Media Recruitment is that it provides organizations the opportunity to optimize their individual job postings which is extremely important since 80% (+) of job seekers search for a job on a search engine first before going to a company's website or even before they go to a job board.
Please share your Social Media Recruitment experiences as many companies are thinking about utilizing the programs and their primary questions range from the time investment, to cost and effectiveness.
